Dana Johnson

Dana is a second year doctoral student at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and a Population Research Center Trainee in the Department of Sociology. Her research interests are primarily in social and healthcare policy, with an emphasis on reproductive rights and access. She has previously conducted research for international human rights NGO Women on Web and Women on Waves, and worked with a research team examining the abortion experiences of women in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Prior to attending the University of Texas, Dana worked as an organizer running state and nationwide abortion rights campaigns. Dana holds a Masters in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Work from the University of Minnesota.
