Daniel Iskhakov (J.D. expected 2028) graduated from the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College with a double major in Biology and Political Science. His background is in labor, housing, and immigration. Born and raised in Jamaica, Queens, Daniel led various research projects at Hunter College focusing on public health, urban planning, labor, and housing. After graduating, Daniel was a New York City Urban Fellow at the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services, where he drafted amendments to the Procurement Policy Board Rules as part of the agency’s rulemaking efforts. This past year, Daniel served as the 2024-2025 Weil Legal Innovator at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) where he built the housing policy advocacy program on the federal and state level. After law school, Daniel plans to do human rights litigation advocating for housing and labor rights.
