Summer Human Rights Fellows Alumni
David Wood

David Wood (LLB 2011, BA 2011, University of Melbourne; MA 2017, University of Texas) will intern this summer at the Legal Resources Centre in Accra, Ghana. The LRC promotes the observance of human rights under Ghanaian and international law. The Centre pursues this aim both by influencing government policymaking and providing legal services to Ghanaians whose rights may have been infringed. David will assist the LRC by interviewing clients, conducting research and drafting policy proposals. David has just completed his MA in Middle Eastern Studies, which involved research into the relevance of international human rights norms in the region today. Before that, David worked as a commercial lawyer in Melbourne, Australia for over two years, taking on pro bono files in his spare time. David plans to work as a journalist after he completes his internship with the LRC.
