Ileana Rodríguez
Ileana Rodríguez is Distinguished Professor Emeritus in Latin American Literatures and Cultures at Ohio State University and affiliate of the Instituto de Historia de Nicaragua y Centroamérica (IHNCA). Her research interests include post-colonial theory, feminist studies, and subaltern studies in central American and Caribbean literature. She is the author of several books including Gender Violence in Failed and Democratic States (2016), Hombres de empresa, saber y poder en Centroamérica: Identidades regionales/Modernidades periféricas (2011), and Liberalism at its Limits: Crime and Terror in the Latin American Cultural Text (2009). Rodríguez holds two BAs in philosophy from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico and UC San Diego and a PhD in Spanish Literature from UC San Diego.
