Imelda Muñoz

Imelda Muñoz (she/her/ella) is a PhD candidate in Latin American Studies at UT Austin. Her doctoral research focuses on the life experiences of queer and transgender Mexican immigrants who work in central California’s agricultural industry. Imelda holds an MA in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University and a BA in Chicana/o-Latina/o Studies from California State University, Monterey Bay. She was born and raised in Salinas, California, and is the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents.
