Jacob Blas
Jacob Blas is the Program Coordinator for the Rapoport Center. He coordinates events, communications, and publications; provides administrative support for the daily operations of the Center; and supports fundraising and grant initiatives. Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, Jacob graduated from UT Austin in 2021 with a B.A. in Mexican American & Latina/o Studies and Rhetoric & Writing. While in college, he interned at the Center as the Barbara Harlow Intern in Human Rights & Social Justice, working on multiple projects including “COVID-19, Structural Inequality, and the Past and Future of Low-Income Latinx Construction Workers in Austin, Texas.” Jacob is passionate about decolonial work, critical theory, and challenging racial inequality – specifically in reference to Mexican American and CHamoru communities.
