Jaden Wielhouwer

Jaden Wielhouwer (J.D. expected 2029) is a recent graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, where they earned an MSc in Human Rights in 2025. They also hold a B.A. in Economics and Religion with a minor in Art, Letters, and Enterprise from Trinity University, completed in 2022.

Jaden’s graduate dissertation examined the development of a migrant detention center in the Florida Everglades, exploring how detention infrastructure, environmental degradation, and ecological management intersect with racialized state violence and Indigenous sovereignty.

Before coming to Texas Law, Jaden worked in higher education and nonprofit advocacy, including an internship with Sewing New Futures, a nonprofit supporting women and girls escaping poverty or evading human trafficking. Following undergraduate study, Jaden worked in higher education and youth ministry, supporting students and developing programs focused on community engagement, education, and social justice.
