Jasmyne Nelson is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Bachelor's of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida. Jasmyne is a former Ronald E. McNair Scholar, and during her time at UF conducted mixed-methods research investigating Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC). Currently, Jasmyne's interests broadly surround policing, youth, health, and mixed-methods. Jasmyne is also a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
