Julieta Martínez González
Julieta Martínez González (J.D. Expected 2028) graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies and Political Science with minors in Women and Gender Studies and Latinx Studies. While an undergraduate, she was involved with multiple organizations fighting for first-generation Latine students to gain access, equity, and representation on the university campus. She was dedicated to expanding research beyond the classroom and organizing events addressing race, ethnic studies, migration studies, liberation theories, and reproductive justice efforts to first-generation students and communities outside of the institution. She is a McNair Scholar and her thesis analyzed how Title 42’s “health” rhetoric was used to dehumanize migrant communities. Before entering Texas Law, Julieta interned in Washington, D.C. for Texas Congressman Greg Casar, then worked for a non-profit organization that focused on young women's political empowerment and political engagement of marginalized communities.
