Graduate Fellows

Kairos Looney is a Performance as Public Practice doctoral student in UT Austin’s Department of Theatre and Dance. Their research is focused on the syncretic survival of faith practices and gender pluralism, particularly related to Catholicism and transitive identities. They recently completed their Master’s thesis. Their thesis project analyzed existing drama-based campus resources for interpersonal violence prevention in order to propose a care-centered pedagogy in deep time. Prior and parallel to graduate studies, Looney maintains their theatremaking practice.
