Nathalia Sandoval Rojas is in her first year of the PhD program in the Department of Government. Born in Colombia, she studied law at National University and earned her master's degree in political science at Los Andes University. In Colombia, she worked in human rights and was especially interested in advancing human rights rulings in national and international courts. She worked as a practitioner and lecturer at National and Rosario’s Universities, and also clerked for the Constitutional Court. Nathalia's research interests now are closely related to her previous work. She is interested in the impact that judicial decisions have on institutions and on citizens’ lives, as well as the relationship between human rights rulings and inequalities.
