Her professional experience spans across legal and advocacy settings, including her role as an assistant supporting immigrant families at Casa Marianella, where she assisted residents with the immigration process. She also serves as Vice President of the Communication Council, overseeing constitutional reforms, leadership development, and student advocacy initiatives at the Moody College of Communication. Through her coursework and independent projects, Nayeli has explored ethical dilemmas in politics, the role of media in shaping public opinion, and the human rights implications of immigration policy.

Beyond her academic and leadership pursuits, Nayeli is active on campus as a Senate Representative and as a member of Minority Women Pursuing Law.

Nayeli plans to pursue a career in law, focusing on immigration and human rights, where she hopes to continue using communication as a tool for justice and equity.
