Rachel Zein

Rachel Zein is a senior majoring in Spanish and Plan II Honors. She worked for three years as a photographer and photo editor for UT’s student newspaper, The Daily Texan, and has recently begun writing for the publication. Rachel spent a semester studying Latin American history and literature in Chile and is writing a senior thesis on the intersection of feminist literature and political activism under the Chilean dictatorship. Rachel hopes to continue improving her Spanish proficiency and is the Student Assistant at the Texas Language Center, where she assists in developing workshops pertaining to second language teaching and acquisition. Following graduation, Rachel plans to attend graduate school in Latin American studies and work as a journalist.
