I am a native of Milwaukee, WI currently living in Gießen, Germany. I have studied German Language and Literature in BA, MA and (currently) PhD. In my MA and PhD I have and continue to focus on Holocaust Literature, Memory Studies, Trauma, and Jewish Studies. Fluent in German and English, intermediate Turkish, beginner Yiddish and Polish. I currently focus my research on Holocaust Literature, but hope to expand into the areas of Human Rights and Genocide Studies.
