Samantha Powers
Samantha Powers (J.D. expected 2029) graduated with a B.S. in Journalism and Political Science from Northwestern University.
As an undergraduate, Samantha served as managing editor of The Daily Northwestern and wrote for the Northwestern Undergraduate Law Journal. She studied abroad in Copenhagen, where she focused on international refugee law and the Nordic prison model. She was also inducted as a member of Pi Sigma Alpha and recognized nationally for her research into elite influence on Supreme Court jurisprudence.
Before entering Texas Law, Samantha worked as a politics and education reporter at the Washington Monthly. She also interned with the U.S. House of Representatives and the Lone Star Justice Alliance. After graduation, Samantha hopes to pursue a career in public interest litigation advocating for criminal justice reform.
