Sam Law is an Anthropology doctoral student studying autonomous social movements in Mexico City. Previously, he focused on movements against political violence in Mexico and indigenous rights-based claims in a Guatemalan anti-mining struggle.

Sam is the recipient of a 2020 Fieldwork Grant on Human Rights & Inequality. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, his award will be deferred until a time when he is able to travel to Mexico City, Mexico, to conduct his fieldwork.
