SeongGyeong Park
SeongGyeong is a doctoral student in the Education Policy and Planning program at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research examines school and community partnerships for historically marginalized students and families, especially immigrant populations, and school/district leaders' responses to it. She has contributed to the advocacy for marginalized students and families through research regarding state- and local-level educational policies (e.g., classroom censorship, dual credit funding, and early college advising). She has supported PK-20 students who are primarily low-income, first-generation, and immigrant students in various countries. She is currently supporting parenting students at UT with research, one-on-one support, and grant writing. She was awarded a College of Education's Bascombe and Frances fellowship (UT Austin), Texas Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (TADOHE) Make a Dream Brighter scholarship, and Texas Career Engagement's Reimagining Professional Development Award (UT Austin).
