Sheela Ranganathan (B.S. 2019, Georgetown University; JD expected 2022) split her 1L summer clerking at Jackson Walker's Austin office and the Office of Representative Mary Gonzalez. Before law school, Sheela interned at the US Pharmacopeia, where she researched best practices for quality management in global pharmaceutical supply chains. During her 1L year she volunteered over 70 hours with the Mithoff Pro Bono program, working on projects related to drug conviction relief, Medicaid advocacy, and review of the Judicial Bench Book. During the 2020-2021 year, Sheela will serve as a Dean's Fellow as well as Vice President of the UT Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She is also a co-founder of Law Students for Black Lives. Sheela is passionate about racial justice with a focus on health as a fundamental human right.
