Thatcher Combs

Thatcher Combs is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at The University of Texas at Austin. As a first-generation, non-traditional student, he received an AA in LGBT Studies from the City College of San Francisco. He received his BA in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. His research centers on gender, sexuality, and social movements. His Ph.D. research is focused on LGBTQ gun owners to investigate the meaning-making and intra-community dynamics of stigmatized identities.
