Yasmin Yavar, JD '04, is currently Senior Staff Attorney at the ABA’s Children’s Immigration Law Academy (CILA), a Houston-based expert legal resource center that builds capacity for those working to advance the rights of children seeking protection through trainings, technical assistance, and collaboration. Prior to CILA, Yasmin started Houston’s Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) office, and worked at ProBar in Harlingen. Yasmin was a Cain-Rapoport Fellow at the Inter-American Court in San Jose, Costa Rica, in 2003.
