Scholarships in Human Rights and Global Justice

The 2023-24 application deadline has passed.

The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice, a vibrant, interdisciplinary center located at the University of Texas School of Law, is pleased to announce new Scholarships in Human Rights and Global Justice for 3 to 6 UT Law Students during the 2023-2024 academic year. Since its founding in 2004, the Rapoport Center has served as a focal point for critical, interdisciplinary analysis and practice of human rights and social justice.

In the lead up to its 20th anniversary celebration in 2024, the Rapoport Center will award $1250 to UT law students with experience or interest in human rights or global justice. Scholarship recipients will become graduate affiliates of the Rapoport Center, be matched with mentors in related fields, and serve as liaisons between the Rapoport Center and the law school student body. Other opportunities for professional development and experiential learning will also be offered to recipients over the course of their time at UT Law. All UT Law students enrolled for the 2023-24 academic year, including LLMs, are eligible to apply.

Scholarship selections will be carried out by a Rapoport Center selection committee. Awards will be based on applicants’ background in and commitment to human rights or global justice, as well as their capacity to contribute to the human rights community on the UT campus.
