Afro-Descendants: Collective Land Rights in Latin America

As part of a multi-year research project on Afro-Descendant and indigenous land rights in Latin America, the Rapoport Center sent interdisciplinary fact-finding delegations of professors and students to Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador to assess local land rights situations and write reports about their findings, including policy recommendations to relevant governmental, intergovernmental, and nongovernmental organizations and policymakers. This ambitious project was co-sponsored by the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies.
