Grace Miller (B.A. 2018, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; J.D. expected 2022) will intern this summer with Dentons Mauritius, working on indigenous rights and international law issues. As a Berta Cáceres Human Rights Fellow, she will assist with the ongoing case for the Chagos Refugees Group. As an undergrad, Grace interned for Texas Health Institute, working on Mountain States Regional Genetics Network’s Underserved Populations Project. While there, Grace researched barriers to genetic services for low-income, Hispanic, and Native American families and developed educational materials for the purposes of improving access to genetics services. Grace also worked as a marketing coordinator and paralegal at an Estate Planning and Elder Law firm before law school. At Texas Law, Grace has participated in Pro Bono in January, Women’s Law Caucus, and the Public Interest Law Association. Additionally, she is involved with Christian Legal Society, and will serve as its Vice President of Community Outreach and Development in the upcoming year. After law school, Grace hopes to pursue a career in public interest.
