“At Texas Law,
We’re Open for Business.”

Texas Law has a proud tradition of alumni success in transactional and business careers, as befits the flagship school of a state renowned for its entrepreneurial culture and thriving economy. Building on that foundation, we have launched the Texas Law and Business Program as the next stage in our commitment to attracting students interested in such careers and providing them with world-class opportunities and guidance.  The Program expands our already-robust offerings with new courses and unique extracurriculars emphasizing practical transactional know-how and knowledge of business fundamentals.  It also enhances community for students interested in such careers through mentoring, networking events, support for student organizations, and identification as Student Affiliates (for those who commit to taking a certain number of business-related courses from our detailed curriculum roadmap).

Our Mission

  • Equip students with knowledge and real-world skills required to excel in corporate/transactional law practices
  • Provide hands-on experiential learning opportunities
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of business principles and financial markets
  • Expand career opportunities for our graduates beyond traditional law firms
  • Foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic thinking
