Description
This seminar will examine issues arising under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), including rules of origin, antidumping and countervailing duties, food and product safety, foreign investment, intellectual property rights, dispute settlement, and environmental and labor law. Prior coursework in one or more of these areas is helpful, but not required. Each student will complete three 10-page papers analyzing specific problems relating to the weekly reading assignments, and will present at least one of these papers orally in class. In addition, each student will write two 2-3 page critiques of papers submitted by their classmates.Instructors
