Privacy and Cyber Security in the Information Age

In this course, we will study the historical and evolving legal framework for privacy and cyber security during a remarkable period of digital assets, consumer-driven technological innovation, global connectivity, ubiquitous access, and virtually boundless storage capacity. We will review federal and state laws and regulations, privacy principles, emerging security standards and expectations, data breach requirements and litigation, company policies and procedures, transactional considerations, and cyber risk management and governance.
