This course deals with the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices - Consumer Protection Act (DTPA), which is the primary consumer protection statute in Texas. We will also examine important statutes related to the DTPA such as the Texas Debt Collection Act, and we will consider relevant common law remedies and their relationship to these statutes.
