Description

This intership program offers students the opportunity to apply for "for-credit" internship positions with the Austin U.S. Attorney's Office. Information on the U.S. Attorney's Office is available at www.usdoj.gov/usao/txw/. Students earn four credits (pass/fail) over two semesters (2 credits per semester) --Fall 2009 and Spring 2010. Students must commit to working 10 hours per week during these two terms. Selected students will assist in the prosecution of federal criminal cases under the supervision of an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Texas. Applications for the 2009-2010 academic year are due at the end of February 2009. Mr. Brown will call selected students for an interview in March 2009. Students selected for this internship must also take a three-unit seminar in the Fall 2009 entitled "Advanced Federal Criminal Prosecution." All applicants selected for this program must undergo an FBI background check before starting.
