This seminar explores the structure of United States patent and copyright law, and the relation of patents and copyrights to the fostering of innovation. Each student will be expected to participate in class discussion, to complete a number of short writing assignments, to write a longer paper to satisfy the seminar writing requirement, and to make an in-class presentation regarding the longer-paper project.
No courses are required as prerequisites.
