This is a course in the substantive law regulating immigration to the United States and the regulation of non-citizens in the United States. Topics covered include the constitutional law aspects of the immigration and deportation process, entry, conduct of hearings, relief from deportation, and general regulation of aliens. In addition, the operation of the immigration act of 1996 and other new laws will be discussed.
