Description

The course surveys two broad categories of legal writing. The first category is litigation writing: pleadings, discovery, motions and responses, and jury instructions. The second category is transactional drafting: contracts, rules, and plain-English consumer documents. The course also covers email and the mechanics of writing: grammar, punctuation, usage, and style for professional legal writing. 2 credits, pass-fail Enrollment limited to 16 Students who have already taken Advanced Legal Writing: Litigation with Bridges, or Advanced Legal Writing with Schiess may not take this course.
