Description
This seminar will focus on cutting-edge research in law and economics. In most of the classes, I will host a workshop during which a leading scholar will present a paper. In the weeks in which there is no outside speaker, the seminar will meet to discuss the papers that will be presented in the next two workshops. All students are required to write short critiques for six of the speakers' papers. Your critiques will be graded and made available to the speaker. Students will also be required to participate in some group presentations in which they explain the papers to be presented in the following weeks. In addition to writing six critiques you will have to revise one of your critical papers into a longer research paper of about 12-15 pages. Evaluation will be based on a combination of participation in the workshop, the quality of the critiques and group presentation, and the writing, quality of research, and substantive quality reflected in the research papers.Textbooks ( * denotes required )
