Description

An examination of the public policy options to address climate change through changes in electric generation. Beginning with a survey of current policy regimes and their impact, we will discuss the history and structure of the electric industry, regulation of the industry, and specific market based, tax, and command and control mechanisms for encouraging clean energy development. Along the way, we will survey renewable energy policies, feed in tariffs, tax policies, green banks, the EPA proposed climate regulations, the impact of NEPA and other federal laws on renewable energy development, and the failure of the nuclear renaissance in the United States.
