Description
Reading Group (with Professor Bobbitt): Reading the Federalist in the 21st Century The course will consist of close readings of approximately 20-30 of the 85 essays published as The Federalist. In addition to the original essays, students will also read the relevant essays from Professor Levinson's book An Argument Open to All: Reading the Federalist in the 20th Century. Students will be expected to read the two groups of essays and be prepared to discuss them. Each student will also be expected to prepare two "response" essays during the course of the semester, of approximately 750 words each. No other written work will be required. The course will be offered only on a pass/fail basis. There will be total of seven sessions of two-hours apiece.Textbooks ( * denotes required )
