Description

In this course, we will study the evolving legal framework for privacy and cyber security during a remarkable period of information technology innovation and growth, pervasive reliance on digital systems and data, global connectivity, ubiquitous Internet access, and increasingly boundless data storage capabilities. We will review privacy principles, emerging security standards and expectations, federal and state laws and regulations, and data breach (as well as other cyber security incident) preparedness and response.
