Description

This course is a short course for 1L students. This course introduces a series of perspectives on law that are valuable for lawyers to understand but that often receive slight attention in first-year courses. The topics will include legal philosophy, game theory, law and economics, and issues of class and race, as well as others. The course will meet once a week for nine weeks, and will end in late March. Students will be asked to complete two brief response papers discussing topics from the course of their choosing. Grading is pass/fail. Each student is allowed one unexcused absence.
