Description
This course provides a general introduction into the law of the European Union. We will cover the European Union's history and institutional structure as well as various areas of substantive and procedural law. Particular emphasis will be placed on the law governing the so-called fundamental freedoms as well as on the role, structure, and functioning of the Court of Justice of the European Union. Because it is only a two-credit course, we will focus on essentials. No prior exposure to EU law is required or expected.
