This interdisciplinary 3-credit writing seminar will dive deep into cutting-edge cybersecurity issues at the intersection of technology, law, and public policy, such as the controversies associated with the “going dark” encryption dispute or proposals to allow “hackback” in response to unauthorized access. The course is intended to bring together graduate students from law, computer science, engineering, and public affairs.
