Ashley Marie Wilder

Ashley Wilder ’16 is a partner at Barron, Adler, Clough & Oddo in Austin, where she represents and defends property owners in Texas whose property rights are being taken or threatened by condemning entities. Wilder has been recognized for her eminent domain litigation work by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2022, 2023, 2024, 2026), Super Lawyers: Rising Stars (2024), and Lawdragon’s list of “The Next Generation of 500 Leading Lawyers in America” (2023). She also teaches the course on eminent domain and condemnation law at Texas Law.

Wilder is passionate about defending landowners’ constitutional rights and has represented hundreds of landowners across the state of Texas. She has advocated for her clients at dozens of Special Commissioners’ Hearings, at court hearings, and at trial, handling oral arguments and witness examinations. She has also successfully negotiated and mediated cases for clients outside of trial. Wilder has represented landowners across the state of Texas, obtaining successful condemnation results for landowners in rural, suburban, and urban settings.

Wilder graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was the chief articles editor for the Texas Law Review, Volume 94. She is admitted to practice in Texas and the Southern and Western Districts of Texas. Wilder is a member of the Austin Bar Association and the Eminent Domain sections (serving as a prior board member and on the CLE committee).

Wilder has lived in many places in Texas and now calls Austin home. She was a longtime board member of Servant Church in Austin, and is married to her husband Zach, who she met while teaching first grade in Teach for America before attending law school. They welcomed their first child, a baby boy, into the world in 2023.
