Blake Rocap is the project director of the Sissy Farenthold Reproductive Justice Defense Project at the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice. He has worked on issues of abortion access in Texas for more than 20 years as volunteer attorney, board member and current legal director of Jane’s Due Process. He is an expert on state abortion policies and has served as legislative counsel to AVOW (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice Texas) for more than a decade. He is one of only 13 attorneys in the state who is board certified in legislative and campaign law. Rocap enjoys working with the Sissy Farenthold student scholars exploring the current legal issues that confront people fighting for reproductive justice for themselves and their communities.
