Bradley Potts is an associate in the Energy, Power and Natural Resources Practice Group in Haynes and Boone LLP’s Houston office. His practice focuses on a broad variety of energy-related transactions, including oil, natural gas, and renewable energy. He handles complex upstream and midstream oil and gas transactions as well as power and renewables matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and financings. Bradley’s recent transactions include purchase and sale agreements, membership interest purchase agreements, joint development agreements, reserve based financings, securitizations, forbearance agreements, oilfield services contracts, power purchase agreements, ISDA Master Agreements and many other transactions across the energy industry. He has represented clients in connection with oil and gas plays across the country, including several offshore transactions in the Gulf of America.
In 2025, Bradley was a Finalist for the "Most Promising Newcomer" award presented by the Texas Legal Awards and The Texas Lawyer.
Bradley graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a B.B.A. in Business Management, a B.A. in Political Science with distinction, honors in the liberal arts, and a minor in public policy and international affairs through the Tower Scholars Program. He earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of law with High Honors and as a member of the Order of the Coif and Chancellors List. At Texas Law, he served as the Managing Editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law, and he was an Associate Editor for the Texas Law Review. Among other recognitions, Bradley earned the Beck Award, Texas Law’s top 1L legal writing honor.
