Kamela Bridges is a senior lecturer who teaches legal writing and directs the David J. Beck Center for Legal Research, Writing, and Appellate Advocacy. Her courses cover legal research, predictive analysis, persuasive analysis, advocacy, and legal writing.
Lawyers are writers. Students who hone their legal-writing skills at Texas Law will change the world through effective advocacy.

Kamela Bridges teaches legal writing and directs the David J. Beck Center for Legal Research, Writing, and Appellate Advocacy. Ms. Bridges is a co-author of Writing for Litigation. The text, published by Aspen Publishing, is designed to help students and new lawyers learn to write documents typically used in civil litigation.
Prior to joining the faculty in 2000, Ms. Bridges was a partner at Locke Liddell & Sapp LLP (now known as Locke Lord). Her practice focused on civil litigation and appellate law.
A triple Longhorn, Ms. Bridges has a B.A. in government and a B.J. in journalism from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Texas Law.
