Sean Williams teaches and writes family law, behavioral law and economics, contracts, and torts. He studies decision-making dynamics in a variety of areas including marriage markets, parental investments in child safety, jury damage awards, and consumer contracts. Professor Williams has been featured in numerous law reviews, addressing inadequacies in current family law reform efforts and distortions in current family law scholarship and judicial reasoning.
Prof. Williams studies decision making dynamics in a wide variety of areas including marriage markets, parental investments in child safety, jury damage awards, and consumer contracts. He writes widely on Family Law, Tort Theory, and Behavioral Law and Economics.
Prof. Williams graduated with High Honors from the University of Chicago Law School. Before his appointment at the University of Texas School of Law, he was a Climenko Fellow and Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School. Prior to his legal career, he analyzed large national datasets to uncover trends in teen pregnancy and risky adolescent behaviors more generally.
Prof. Williams teaches Family Law, Behavioral Law and Economics, Contracts, and Torts.
