Travis W. Wussow

Travis Wussow '08 is a lecturer at Texas Law, where he leads the Texas Law AI Skills Program. He runs in-person training sessions and coaches students one-on-one and in small groups. The program is designed to ensure all Texas Law graduates have a strong foundation in AI skills as they start their careers.

Travis is an expert in applied AI, having rebuilt his own law practice to highly leverage AI tools and workflows. Most recently, he was a partner with Jackson Walker LLP, where he practiced environmental, regulatory, and legislative law and was a leader in the firmwide AI transformation efforts. Outside of his role at Texas law, Travis is the CEO and General Counsel of Bell Rock Strategies, which provides training and transformation consulting services to large law firms. He also founded Bell Rock Law, where he practices regulatory and administrative law.

Before returning to private practice in 2024, Travis served as an executive for a large, national philanthropy based in Washington, DC, where he led strategy development and grantmaking operations.

Travis earned a BBA in finance with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and his JD with high honors from Texas Law, where he served as an articles editor of the Texas Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Texas and the District of Columbia. An eighth-generation Texan, Travis lives in Austin with his wife, Katie, and their two daughters.
