Zev L. Kusin

Zev Kusin is a partner in Marrs Ellis & Hodge’s Austin office. He handles all phases of litigation, with special expertise in motions practice and appeals. In 2021 he was selected as a Best Lawyer in America in the area of appellate practice. Before joining the firm, Kusin worked as a staff attorney for the Third Court of Appeals of Texas and as a litigation associate for Cooley LLP. He received his J.D. cum laude from Cornell Law School, where he was an editor of the Cornell Law Review. He received his B.A. in philosophy from Pomona College and studied graduate-level philosophy at Tufts University.
Before attending law school, Kusin taught high-school English and history. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and California.
