2026 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards 

The annual awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, are considered the Oscars of education magazines. This year, Texas Law Magazine was honored with a Gold Medal for its two 2025 issues, with judges noting the magazine’s “vibrant, artistic design, strong integration of text and imagery, and engaging storytelling … (with) writing that is consistently compelling across both short and long pieces, creating an immersive reading experience that feels polished, dynamic, and distinctive.”

2026 Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year Award

The Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year Award is CASE’s highest honor, chosen from hundreds of eligible publications originating in more than 30 countries across the globe. Texas Law Magazine won the Sibley Award in 2025 and was honored to be one of five Finalists for the award in 2026.

2026 Society of Publication Designers SPD61 Awards

The Society of Publication Designers is the country’s leading organization for editors, designers, and art directors of print publications. Its annual awards recognize America’s top magazines, including Vanity FairWiredNew York Magazine, Food and Wine, and Texas Monthly, among many, many others. Texas Law Magazine won a Gold Medal and a Silver Medal at the SPD 61st Anniversary Awards event in New York City in June:

2025 Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year Award

In its first year of eligibility, Texas Law Magazine was named the 2025 Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. 

From the judges“A very engaging magazine with clear attention to detail and is much more colorful than one may expect of a law magazine. The content and design choices are thoughtfully crafted to appeal to their intended audience. Additionally, beautiful photography and illustration keep the readers’ attention and present a refreshing difference from other law magazines!” 

The award—first presented in 1943—is the highest award for editorial excellence in the field of university magazines. Judges selected Texas Law Magazine as the winner of the Sibley, among entries from 640 institutions representing 33 countries.

Texas Law Magazine took home two gold medalsfrom The Society of Publication Designers 60th Anniversary Awards in June 2025. Both awards were given for features in the second-ever relaunched issue of the school’s magazine.

Finalist – Texas Law Magazine was one of four magazines chosen as a Finalist for Best Redesign among all global publications. The other three finalists were Rolling StoneChristianity Today, and Smith Quarterly
