Judicial internships are open to all students including 1Ls. There are hundreds of summer judicial internship opportunities available throughout the nation. You may be able to receive school credit if you intern for a federal district, federal appellate, or state appellate judge, including receiving three hours of credit for interning at the Texas Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, and the Third Court of Appeals. UT Law students and judicial advisors, will discuss their judicial internship experiences and how they secured their positions. Panelists include Shawna Williams, 3L (Judge Walters, Oregon Supreme Court); Jackie Lynch, 2L (Judge Atlas, U.S. District Court for Southern District of Texas); Kelly Whitebread, 2L (Bankruptcy Judge Bohm, U.S. District Court for Southern District of Texas); Megan Dagerman, 2L (Judge Alcala, Texas Court of Appeals, First District); Mary Crouter, Assistant Director of the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law; and Remi Ratliff, Director of Judicial Programs with the Career Services Office.
