The Thad T. Hutcheson First-Year Moot Court Competition is an annual, endowed moot court competition open to all first-year UT Law students on a tryout basis. Competitors enter a 64-person tournament in which judging is based on oral argument and brief writing.

The Law Student Division of the State Bar of Texas will be discussing Legal Aid opportunities including practicing as a Legal Aid attorney; internships through the Texas Access to Justice Commission and the State Bar of Texas; and Student Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP). Presenters include Benet Magnuson, Texas Access to Justice Commission; Jason Cordova, 3L; and others. Lunch will be served.
