Overview: The Thurgood Marshall Legal Society (TMLS) will host its Second Biennial Spring Symposium on February 9, 2012 at The University of Texas School of Law. The theme of the Symposium is “Pursuing Social Justice.”

The Spring Symposium will attract attorneys, professors, entrepreneurs, judges, and law students from around the nation in a stimulating exchange of ideas and legal experience. We are honored to have the Supreme Court of Texas open the Symposium with oral arguments in UT Law’s Eidman Courtroom. A formal luncheon will follow the oral arguments as well as an opportunity to meet the Justices. Attendees will then attend a series of panels covering civil, political, and ethical topics, receiving up to 3.0 hours of CLE credit for attendance while hearing from leading minds in their respective legal fields.

The Symposium is sure to be a distinctive event with an anticipated 150 to 200 Symposium attendees, including local media outlets. Your attendance is encouraged and welcomed by not only Symposium panelists and attendees, but by all UT Law students and faculty. We look forward to seeing you there!

Registration: Payments in the form of check or cash will be accepted on the day of the event, should you wish to use another form of payment. RSVPs can thus also be sent to secretary.tmls@gmail.com.
