Notaries are available in the Susman Godfrey Atrium at the Susman Godfrey Atrium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Notaries are not available outside of these hours on these dates. Students must be prepared to show a photo ID and the notary must witness the student sign the document. Notaries are available for Law School and state bar-related business only. There is no charge.

The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice, The Texas Observer, and the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History will host a panel discussion entitled “The Legacy of the Dirty Thirty.” The panel will explore a pivotal period in Texas politics in the early ’70s when a group of lawmakers, known as the Dirty Thirty, challenged the influence of special interest in the Legislature and the power of House leadership.
Panelists will be Sissy Farenthold, Dirty Thirty member and former gubernatorial candidate; Tom Bass, Dirty Thirty member and former Harris County commissioner; Terry O’Rourke, legal strategist, Dirty Thirty; Ronnie Dugger, founding editor of The Texas Observer. The moderator will be State Rep. Ana Hernandez Luna of Houston.
